Maxsun iCraft B760M Cross : Anime Fan Special

$196 Price in Amazon

In

the area of motherboards under $200, the Maxsun iCraft B760M Cross is an Intel-only option in the Micro ATX space. It has a very good design, but the lower power unit, missing manuals, information-lacking website, and lack of a Windows-based utility make it less favorable for customers. The absence of current access to the Intel microcode pushes it further down the list.

In the past, we saw that many Micro ATX motherboards came with an average budget and good features. Now, many of these budget boards can still do the job, but they are limited due to BIOS settings and inadequate power delivery.

Today we will talk about Maxsun’s iCraft B760M Cross. Priced at $196, it offers support for 12th to 14th Gen Intel processors, three M.2 sockets (two with heatsinks), two 20 Gbps USB Type-C ports, integrated Wi-Fi 6E, and a unique, though polarizing, white anime-themed appearance with blue to purple accents.

The board has many potential but it has some problems.

Many tech experts tested the motherboard and noted, ‘The website states that the power limit is 253W, but in our tests, it peaked at around 225W, which leaves some performance on the table, especially with heavily multi-threaded and longer-running loads.’ While the performance difference isn’t significant, it does not reach the advertised wattage.

The Maxsun iCraft B760M Cross features a striking RGB-heavy design that will appeal to gamers looking for a visually distinct build. The motherboard has RGB lighting strips on the heatsinks, giving it a bold, aggressive look that pairs well with other RGB components. The build quality is solid, with heatsinks placed strategically around the VRMs and chipset to ensure efficient heat dissipation. The Micro-ATX form factor makes it a great option for those looking to build in smaller cases while still offering the flexibility of a full-featured ATX motherboard.

The Maxsun iCraft B760M Cross delivers strong performance, especially for its price point. DDR5 support provides future-proofing and improved memory bandwidth, which is ideal for gaming, content creation, and multitasking. The single PCIe 5.0 x16 slot offers next-gen support for high-performance GPUs, ensuring compatibility with the latest and upcoming graphics cards. For storage, the PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot allows for fast NVMe SSDs, giving you excellent read and write speeds for both gaming and general PC use. While it only has one M.2 slot, the three SATA 6Gb/s ports offer additional options for larger storage needs.Networking is covered by the 2.5G Ethernet port, providing faster speeds for gamers or users in need of reliable and quick network connections.

The B760 chipset offers decent overclocking capabilities for memory, though the locked multiplier on most non-Z chipsets means you won’t have CPU overclocking. However, this won’t be a dealbreaker for most gamers, especially those looking for a stable system without heavy customization. For GPU-heavy tasks, the PCIe 5.0 slot ensures you’ll be able to install and run the latest graphics cards with optimal performance, making it suitable for 1440p and 4K gaming. DDR5 memory support also provides faster load times in games and improved system responsiveness.
