AMD has launched their new X870 flagship chipset, compatible with several motherboards. As a result, MSI and Gigabyte are releasing their new X870 lineup motherboards. As you may recall, we recently wrote an article about MSI’s new ‘X870E Carbon WiFi Motherboard.’ Now, we have the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master, which is a more refined version of the X670 Master. It’s not the most high-end X870 motherboard from Gigabyte—that title belongs to the Aorus Extreme AI Top , which will cost $800 USD. For now, we will focus on the Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master.
The “Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master” is a top Line motherboard for enthusiasts and gamers who need great performance and to support the latest “AMD Ryzen processors” with the AM5 socket. It offers “PCIe 5.0” support for next-gen graphics and ultra-fast data speeds. The motherboard is prepare with “DDR5 memory” support, ensuring faster data processing and overclocking capabilities. “Wi-Fi 6E” and advanced thermal solutions, the X870E Aorus Master delivers exceptional connectivity and stability through heavy workloads. Its power design and high-quality components make it a perfect choice for users aiming to build a high-performance, future-proof gaming rig or workstation.
The Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master is built with a robust design that focuses on both aesthetics and functionality. It features a black PCB with striking RGB lighting, which can be customized using Gigabyte’s RGB Fusion 2.0 software. The armor-style shielding provides protection and stability to the components while also improving thermal performance.
The Fins-Array III heatsink, paired with the Direct-Touch Heatpipe II, ensures efficient cooling, especially when overclocking or pushing the system under heavy loads.
One of the standout features of this motherboard is the PCIe 5.0 support, which offers double the bandwidth of PCIe 4.0. This ensures that the Aorus Master can handle future high-performance GPUs and NVMe SSDs with blazing speeds, making it an ideal choice for users looking to build a next-gen gaming rig or workstation.
Additionally, PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots allow for incredibly fast storage solutions, ensuring rapid load times and data transfer speeds for demanding tasks like video editing and large file transfers.
Supporting DDR5 RAM with speeds up to 6400 MHz or higher (with overclocking), the X870E Aorus Master offers cutting-edge memory performance. Gigabyte’s XMP 3.0 support ensures that overclocking is simple and efficient, providing automatic performance boosts without compromising stability.
The board is equipped with 20-phase VRM design and premium capacitors, ensuring smooth and stable power delivery, which is essential for overclocking high-end processors like the Ryzen 7000-series.
The X870E Aorus Master is future-proofed with Wi-Fi 7, offering ultra-fast wireless speeds and lower latency compared to previous Wi-Fi standards. The inclusion of 2.5G Ethernet ensures fast wired network performance for gaming, streaming, or transferring large files.
With multiple USB 4.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C ports, the motherboard provides ample connectivity options for modern peripherals and external storage devices, offering high-speed data transfer rates for fast performance.
Gigabyte has equipped the X870E Aorus Master with an advanced cooling solution to ensure it runs efficiently, even under high loads. The Fins-Array III heatsink, Direct-Touch Heatpipe II, and additional thermal pads help dissipate heat effectively from the chipset, VRM, and M.2 slots.
The board also features multiple fan headers, allowing for extensive control over system cooling through Smart Fan 6. This software lets users monitor and adjust fan speeds based on system temperatures, ensuring the system stays cool without excessive noise.
With 4 PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, the X870E Aorus Master is well-prepared for the future of storage. These slots offer ultra-fast read and write speeds for NVMe SSDs, making it ideal for gamers, content creators, and professionals who require rapid access to large files.
